The Hermit
In the dark inferno of our burning world, virtue is hard-sought. Any inner state of joy, piety, and equity needs a guide. A breathe behind my back toward my becoming, shepherding this little lamb to turn left, go right.

No matter how long is the path of night, the Hermit makes our peregrinations a mystical quest. As estranged as we might’ve become, the Hermit reminds us that we walk together in this cold night, and by their light we are led to touch one another in our transit and forge a stranger intimacy so that our cards become lights of consciousness in a circuit of sacred motions.
The cards reflect the constellations that take us home. A small, persistent light here, there, tied together to keep the seeking soul from giving up or giving in to the night’s chaotic unbecoming.
The Hermit says, keep the hearth going day and night. Light a thousand candles in procession for the nightly celebration of our luminscent Lady. Send flames floating down the river. The Hermit realizes tarot as a camino, as a peripatetic path. The cards become a compass and we, ever so curious where this starlight will lead us, take one humble step after the other.
Oh the blessing it would be to become a Hermit birthing light in our life. Then, no matter how cold is that dark loneliness, a radiant warmth would remind us we were never alone. See the Hermit’s light and know that it’s my love I’m sending you. I would walk miles and miles to meet you, miles in the dark to love you, again, miles to listen to the light in your eyes.

The Wheel of Fortune
Pick up a pack of tarot cards with the Wheel of Fortune motivating your search for meaning.
The shuffle method by which we read our future, past, and present is really tarot teaching us time is in a circular continuum. The Wheel turns, and those who came before, and those coming after, demand our humanization, demand our revolution.
Do something new with the same old history, but unsettle any easy distinction between the crises we’re in and the ongoing crisis of colonialism. That horrible hand you’ve been dealt comes with an inheritance of a great many that’ve made crisis more than defeat; who, no matter if the luck is up or down, continuously emerge from emergency and make the worst of the crises fuel for the creativity of social, political and intellectual growth that make the soul as infinite as blackness, as endless as love.
And at any point in the cycle of time we die only to be reborn again, the multitudes of stories our soul will tell will span millenia. Simply cut the cards a couple times to conjure one up that reminds you that change is not only possible, change is a God that is infinite, insistent and pliable.
2025 has a been a year the Hermit, while 2026 will be one for the Wheel (and the Magician). Seeking revolution, change, justice, decolonization requires a soul seeking too. This soul inquiry leads my divination teaching and consultations. Its recovered me from betrayal, grief and despair and wraps me in grace.
This year, like any other, has been filled with struggle, growth, success, saddness, nourishing friendship and now a readiness for the new.

And so darling Reader, Wild Cards is open for enrollment, beginning January 17th. It may be the last time I teach it live, as I’ve got some exciting new classes I want to develop this next year.
This 7 weeks course will re-signify that savage that haunts the settler state. What better way to end Capricorn season right?
Enroll and become like the Fool, an anticolonial wanderer conjuring otherworlds where the wild comes to us in an animal divination. Let us consider how to create a more egalitarian, wilder world.
Here’s what Kieuntha had to say about her study:
With Thresholds I saw changes across all areas of my life, especially my relationship with myself in terms of really embracing my uniqueness and building my confidence and self trust. Tarot has become an essential part of my daily life because now it feels like an accountability buddy. Wild cards really shifted my world viewpoint. I’ve always been mindful of my media consumption, but Wild Cards added a layer of critical analysis to everything, especially things I’ve been following or watching for a long time. I feel like I see MORE of the world now and I feel more of it. And I really love the community. It’s also a huge part of my growth. This is such an amazing space filled with amazing people that I’m so happy to exchange ideas with and so happy to know. Your teaching style is phenomenal! I love to see the mastery unfold.
I’ve also been booking January consultations and would love to see in either class or one-on-one!
I hope your holidays have been warm and nourished by love. I’ll see you in the new year! For auld lang syne my dear.
X,
Christopher
