This is a course that moves toward the invention of the decolonized self, as it seeks to set our imaginations free. This course will vivify your tarot cards and your divinatory reading so that your experience within the course, and thereafter your cartomancy can heal the psychic wound inflicted by assault from the forces of imperialist, racist, classist, sexist, domination.

We will work together to enter the subconscious, the dream space, the heart center, the soul spheres via the portals offered in each card. Thresholds teaches tarot as a literacy of the heart and soul. I am committed to both providing a technical proficiency with the structure, varied meanings and uses of the tarot, in reading for self and others, while also using the cards as a tool for critical self-inquiry as a byproduct of a communal process. I offer this course as a humanizing education, through which you become conscious about your presence in the world, to then transform the world.

But wait, I have another course to share with you gorgeous! I am happy to announce I have again partnered with the Philosophical Research Society to show you how to utilize tarot for taking care of the inner-child.

More than a mirror, the Moon is a prism and as it gathers and transmits the rays of the other planets, it protects and tempers what unfettered, would overwhelm. This protective prism shines itself distinctly into the tarot’s minor arcana, syncretized to the zodiac’s lunar decans.

Held in our human hands, these cards become gateways into the psyche’s archetypal structures of defense. In this series, learn about the astrological nature of the luminous Moon, the decans that are a 36-part zodiacal subdivision, and then dive deeper to see how the inner-child has attempted to protect itself as shown through the tarot’s prism.

We will discuss how traumatic early childhood experiences leads to dissociation, hypervigilance, splitting, we will speak of witch mothers and self-sabotage, rationalization, but more so we will prime tarot towards a therapeutic intervention for self and client, as we reach to take care of the inner-child with these cards in our hands.

For those who enjoyed my recent Nine of Wands essay, this class will go much deeper into the archetypes & psychic structures of defense.
