Join me Tues. April 30th at 2pm pst for a subscriber exclusive online class breaking down the decans of the Sun through the minor arcana.

Darling reader,

Today I taught my advanced second year students about the Master of Revolutions. Mercury is stationing as I write, as I was teaching, and the Moon, though transiting my ninth, (iykyk), is in detriment and at the bendings as we approaching a solar eclipse in Aries. Time is trippy. It moves too fast and the day always gets the best of me where the night has always been nicer to me. I control the lighting, and my creativity extends into the timeless darkness that is always disrupted by daylight.

As is the paradoxical life I live and the such, I write at night, right now, to invite you to a class on the enduring light of the Sun and its decans. I’ve been really proud of this monthly offering. I’ve had great feedback and its also been stimulating to my already deep study of the decans. The decans have had a bit of resurgence in popularity lately. Whats unique about my decan offerings and engagement here is that we are pursuing themes and connections by the planetary groupings of them rather than the already well-mined exploration of any particular sign. Though I do have classes on the decans of each sign that extend their reading with bespoke liberatory texts attuning their engagement.

To catch up on the classes on Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars, and to maintain an ever-green access to these classes and exclusive perks, consider becoming a paid subscriber:

Otherwise I always appreciate a reference. Tell your friends to join you here and let them get red too!

In case you’re new here (welcome!), these seven planetary decan classes cover:

  • A break down of the nature of the Sun

  • A diagramming of the Solar decans

  • How the Sun’s elementary nature becomes distinctly emphasized and emblematic in the syncretized tarot arcana.

  • Spirits and powers associated with each Solar decan / arcanum

  • What and how these cards / decans signify in a reading and how to heed their advice.

  • A custom Sun spread for peering into a queer horizon

I hope that if you have attended of these previous introductory classes you’ll consider joining me in Thresholds, a course in Decolonial Divinatory Literacy. This is an 11 week intensive course, staring Sunday April 14th.

Previous students say:

Thresholds is a course in divination, ritual, community and an irrationality which subverts the colonial status quo. It is a course in the grammar of animacy. It is a reclamation of indigenous ways of knowing, by expanding subject-hood, and communing with the more-than-human. While I’ve taught this before, this run will be my first time having my very own book to accompany the course, which means this will be the most comprehensive and in-depth run yet. If you’ve been reading Red Tarot, this is your chance to work with me and ensure you are integrating the concepts into your practice / praxis.

Anyhow, I’ve been stewing on some upcoming essays that I look forward to sharing with you. I love teaching and I love writing and while it can be hard to balance both, I submit to the stars. Mercury has slowed down and so has my writing. But as it retrogrades I hope to also revisit some words that were never released. Maybe it just might be the time to change the way you think about reading.

x,

Christopher
